How Much Does Invisalign Cost in Fountain Valley? (2026 Guide)

At AiCare Orthodontics, comprehensive Invisalign treatment generally costs $4,500–$8,000, with most comprehensive treatment quotes falling between $5,000–$6,500. Traditional braces and LightForce comprehensive treatment also fall within this general range. An in-person consultation gives you the most accurate quote for your care.

When you compare Invisalign prices, start with two questions: what care does the fee cover, and how will you pay for it? A monthly amount alone does not tell you the total cost—or what might be billed separately.

At AiCare Orthodontics, your initial consultation is free, and flexible in-house plans with 0% interest are available. Dr. Ai Huang evaluates your teeth and bite before recommending treatment. The team then explains the fee and payment arrangements so you can make an informed decision.

Start with the total Invisalign fee

Your quote depends on the complexity of your case and the expected treatment length. Your insurance plan may also affect the quote and your out-of-pocket cost. Dr. Huang will examine your teeth and bite before recommending a plan and providing a personalized estimate.

The range above is for comprehensive treatment. A limited alignment change should not be compared directly with a more involved treatment plan.

Ask for a written total for each suitable option. If you are comparing practices, check that the estimates cover similar care, including what happens after the last aligner. Our Invisalign treatment page explains the day-to-day treatment process.

What does your treatment fee include?

Your treatment fee covers the care in your agreed plan. Read the included services alongside the exceptions in your agreement, especially for additional imaging, repairs and care after treatment.

Included care and details to confirm

Planned appliancesThe braces or aligners and other appliances needed for your agreed treatment plan are included.
Treatment visitsOffice visits needed to complete your planned treatment at AiCare are included.
Progress and final recordsRecords taken to track progress and document the end of treatment are included.
Retainers and follow-upOne set of retainers and one year of retention visits are included. Visits after that year are separate; ask about replacement retainers and their cost.
Finishing treatmentBraces or attachment removal and any other finishing procedures needed for your treatment are included.
Care from your dentistCleanings, checkups, fillings, extractions and treatment at other dental offices are not included in your AiCare treatment fee.

What could cost extra?

A treatment quote is not a promise that every future service is covered. These are the main situations to discuss before you sign:

  • Imaging after your first consultation: X-rays and an iTero scan are included in your free consultation when Dr. Huang determines they are needed. If imaging is recommended later, ask whether it carries a separate fee.

  • Late or missed appointments: A fee may apply if you arrive late or miss an appointment. Contact the office as soon as possible if you need to change your visit.

  • Care after the first retention year: Retention visits after the included year are separate. Ask about replacement retainers before ordering a new set.

  • Another phase of treatment: A later phase of treatment is quoted separately.

Routine dental care outside AiCare is separate from your orthodontic treatment fee. Continue seeing your general dentist, and ask that office about the cost of any fillings, extractions or other recommended care.

How a 0% payment plan can work

AiCare offers in-house payment plans with no interest or finance charges when payments stay current. Late or returned payments may carry separate fees. Your agreement sets out the down payment, installment amounts and due dates.

Invisalign payment example in US dollars
ItemAmount
Treatment fee$5,500
Down payment$1,300
Balance after down payment$4,200
Interest rate0%
Installments18 monthly payments of approximately $233.33
Total paid in this example$5,500

To clear the $4,200 balance exactly, this example uses 17 payments of $233.33 and a final payment of $233.39 to account for rounding. Together with the $1,300 down payment, that totals $5,500. Monthly payments continue as agreed, even if your treatment finishes before your balance is paid off.

Do I pay in months without an appointment?

Yes. Installments spread out the total treatment fee; they are not a charge for each visit. Payments continue on the agreed schedule, even in months without an appointment or if treatment finishes before your balance is paid off.

Late or returned payments may incur fees; review the amounts and conditions in your agreement.

Check your own insurance benefits

AiCare bills your insurer as a courtesy. Orthodontic benefits are estimates until the insurer pays, so your written quote should show the estimated insurance contribution and the amount you are expected to pay.

Having dental insurance does not automatically mean Invisalign is covered. Coverage and network status need to be checked for your specific policy.

  • Does your plan include orthodontic benefits for your age?

  • What is the lifetime maximum, and have you used part of it for earlier treatment?

  • Is Dr. Huang in network for your plan? Is there a waiting period?

  • How does the insurer pay, and what happens if your coverage changes during treatment?

Receiving the full estimated benefit may depend on maintaining coverage throughout treatment. Tell the office if your plan changes so the team can review the effect on your balance.

If your insurer pays less than estimated or denies a claim, the unpaid portion becomes your responsibility under the agreement. Ask how it would affect your remaining payments.

If you do not have orthodontic coverage, you can still ask about a self-pay quote and an in-house payment plan.

Planning Invisalign care from Irvine

If you live or work in Irvine, start with a free consultation at our Fountain Valley office. Dr. Huang examines your teeth and bite and decides whether X-rays or an iTero scan are needed; both are included in the free consultation when recommended. Allow about 1–1.5 hours.

Dr. Huang also sees patients at our Irvine office for aligner checks and other follow-up care. Call to confirm appointment availability and discuss where your visits can take place. Bring your questions about fees and scheduling to the consultation so the team can help you plan both.

Plan your Fountain Valley consultation or see the Irvine office details.

What happens before you pay?

Your first visit includes a review of your teeth and bite. X-rays and an iTero scan are included at no charge when Dr. Huang determines they are needed. In a private room, Dr. Huang reviews your images on a large screen, explains her findings and discusses suitable treatment options. You have time to ask questions before reviewing the fee with the team.

There is no charge before you sign the treatment agreement. Review the full fee, any insurance estimate, the first payment and the remaining schedule before signing.

Compare suitable options, then decide

If more than one treatment is suitable, ask for the cost and practical differences of each. Invisalign can be removed for meals and cleaning, while braces stay attached to the teeth. Dr. Huang can explain which options fit your needs; price is one part of that decision.

Compare Invisalign, traditional braces and LightForce, or schedule a free consultation to review your own treatment and payment options.
