Care that grows with you

Orthodontic care for kids

Children: start with a check-up

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic check-up by age 7. Dr. Huang can assess developing teeth and the bite, then discuss whether observation or treatment is appropriate. An early evaluation does not mean every child needs braces.

Understand growth and timing

Orthodontic care for teens

Teens: a plan for everyday life

A teen’s bite, oral hygiene and daily routine all matter when choosing treatment. Discuss braces and clear aligners with Dr. Huang, including wear instructions, cleaning and how care fits with school and activities.

Build a routine that works

Orthodontic care for adults

Adults: explore your possibilities

Orthodontic care is possible in adulthood. Healthy teeth and gums, existing dental work and your goals shape the plan. Dr. Huang can coordinate with your dentist when other dental care needs to be considered.

Questions worth bringing

A useful conversation starts with your priorities. Here are a few things to ask Dr. Huang.

  • Is treatment needed now, or should we monitor first?
  • Which options suit my teeth, bite and daily routine?
  • What care will I need during and after treatment?
  • What does the treatment estimate include?

Questions before you start

Should I wait until my child loses all their baby teeth?

No. The AAO recommends a check-up by age 7, when baby and permanent teeth are often both present. If you notice a concern earlier, ask your dentist or orthodontist about an evaluation.

Does my child need two phases of treatment?

Not every child does. The need for early care and any later treatment depends on the individual findings. Dr. Huang will explain what is recommended and why.

Am I too old for braces or clear aligners?

Age alone does not decide suitability. An examination of your teeth, gums and supporting structures helps determine which options are appropriate.
